Initial Consultation
This is usually done via phone or email, let me know what you’re looking for in your image, we’ll discuss locations, props, clothing, etc. You are the key player. If there’s a composition you’re aiming for please let me know. Don’t be afraid to shoot out ideas or collaborate with mine. Please keep in mind there is absolutely no obligation to buy prints or digital images. If you like my work, you’re welcome to order but if you don’t, you would have just paid for the session fee only. Session fees are due on the date shoot date. For newborn sessions and weddings I ask for an initial deposit to secure your date. Session fees can be paid for in cash, check or credit cards via Paypal.
Save the Date
Pick a date and time. The weather plays a huge role living here in Washington so I’m very flexible. If your intended day calls for rain, we can reschedule. Please bring a couple different top combos. Newborn photo shoots are a little different: I’ll schedule you a few days after your due date but baby will truly control the shoot date! Weddings are a little different too, so please inquire.
Meet You There
Each photo shoot is unique so times will vary a bit depending on the type of shoot. I have lots of props and accessories I will bring but feel free to bring your own. I tend not to limit myself too myself during a shoot and so shoots can last up to 2 hours. I have a mental list of poses so I will pose everyone for the most part, but if I miss a pose feel free to bring it up. I not only act as a photographer, but I’m also you’re mirror…..I take a quick run-down of each pose to make sure details are in place or removed when necessary.
Editing Time
Please allow roughly 2-3 weeks for me to pilfer through the files and edit the best ones. Once the images are ready, I will contact you with instructions on how to view your proofs online in a password protected page. Weddings take 3-6 weeks depending on the number of files I’m dealing with.
